| Three additional grap vines were added to the original three a number of years later. The original vines are rooted awfully close to the electric, and water supplies and we were concerned that hamfisted maintanence of the utilities would kill off the vines. Note that the roughly 19' x 5' "garden" is bounded by a substantial reinforced concrete border to make the interior ground level. A plank down the middle avoids compacting the soil. Just above the right most electric meter you can see one of the two bronze brackets that support two 1/4" stainless steel guide wires for the grapes. |
